I chose Elizabeth the first because she is known for being the women who never married and ran Great Britain herself. She acknowledged that she was in the correct form to be a strong leader but said she has the soul of a man. She and her army that she organized fought the spanish armada, defeating them. She also had a very strong influence on early modern literature, she was a strong supporter of the arts; mostly drama but also it is believed that she is included in many of the works as a symbol. She enjoyed the company of Edmund Spenser who was a poet of the time.

How to Be Mephistopheles
https://snapguide.com/guides/be-mephistopheles-45/#published

Mephistopheles is a confusing character, in some ways he is kind when trying to prevent the doctor from making the same mistake he made when making a deal with Lucifer, however he still tries to manipulate Faustus to come back to Lucifer and go to hell, rather than to think of god. Mephistopheles is a character who has lived in both heaven and hell, he knows what it is like and the misery that he has faced. He is a servant to Lucifer and does just as he requests. However, there are times where he appears to be thinking for himself.

Mephistopheles can be seen as a fallen angel, he has the large luscious wings, however he also has the horns of a demon that can be clearly depicted. He also appears to be looking up towards heaven, which may hint that he is currently transitioning to the dark side and missing out on the everlasting bliss heaven may have given him. He is also portrayed as being ugly and resembles a fiction demon, with sharp nails and horns.

The image above represents Mephistopheles is being ugly, he is ugly in the way that hell is. It is a horrible place and he can easily represent it, looking somewhat like a demon which he is. In the image above I personally feel that this is the perfect depiction because there empty holes to be filled and the loss of everlasting feeling of bliss is clearly missing. The red in the image is a symbol of hell itself.

The image above represents Mephistopheles because he is seen as being manipulating Dr. Faustus into temptation, which he will not be allowed into heaven with. This specific image truly shows his”super powers” to keep the doctor in line to going to hell. In this specific image he does portray what he is described as, in the tale he is ugly and more beast like rather than human.

The Green Knight

The Green Knight is a large superhuman. He is depicted as immortal and one being nature. His name is after all the Green Knight, he is the color green and carries a plant of holly around with him. He has an agreement with Sir Gawain that the next winter to come, the Green Knight will be allowed one blow to Sir Gawain’s head as he did to him. When the day came he only injured Gawain a little with a slash to the throat, he eventually revealed himself as Bertilak.

In the image above the Green Knight is not portrayed as largely as he is described, however it is easy to see that his character is connected to nature. With that being said he is on a horse, there is a small tree in the background, and the horse and the Green Knight appear as green.

The connection to nature appears more strongly in this image, as he is holding a holly plant and the horse and himself have different shades of greens. He is also holding his head which was chopped of by Sir Gawain, he is basically immortal, he can still speak and function with no head..
